Can I refuse an auditor?

If you would like to refuse an auditor, you must contact the Staff Engineer as detailed below. 

The request must be

  • submitted in a letter format, on company letterhead;
  • signed by the Quality Manager;
  • addressed to the appropriate Task Group.

The reason for refusal must be for a specific reason.

Acceptable reasons may be, but are not limited to, the following:

(Previously Documented)

  • Unprofessional behavior during an audit;
  • Sexual harassment allegations;
  • Conflict of interest (consulting business);
  • Lack of knowledge of the supplier’s processes.

Unacceptable reasons may be, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Is a former subscriber employee
  • Identifies too many nonconformances
  • Doesn’t like the auditor
  • Personality conflict
