Am I required to submit my self-audit?
During the audit process, the auditor will ask to see records from your internal audit system. We encourage all suppliers to perform a self-audit to the appropriate Nadcap Audit Checklist. During the internal audit, the supplier should develop a table of the nonconformances found-citing page and paragraph number and corresponding corrective actions taken to correct the problem. Following the internal audit, the supplier should correct any nonconformance discovered prior to the Nadcap audit. We cannot overemphasize the importance of conducting and documenting a thorough, objective internal audit and implementing necessary corrective actions prior to the Nadcap audit. This can greatly simplify and improve the effectiveness/timeliness of the accreditation process.
